MY PROJECT FOR THE WEEK

I spent the last 5 days working on building my own loom & heddle for weaving.  Sounds crazy right?  but I just had to give it a go.  Oh, it’s not perfect, I used wood from the wood bin in my garage and actually anything that would work and made sense.  It gives me an 18″ wide weaving area which I’m pretty pleased with.  I haven’t made my warping peg yet but that’s an easy one.  I’m pretty pleased with the outcome and am anxious to get it ready for a trial run!

FALL IS SLIPPING BY

Little by little the Fall colors are slipping away.  The air is crisp and clean, most of the leaves have fallen and the trees are showing their winter limbs.

I have been attempting to fill a corner of a room to make it more appealing to the eye.  I have added and removed and have come to the decision that having it a bit sparse pleases me most.  Then the revelation……….this old wheel hasn’t seen my hands for a while.  I have a batch of gorgeous brown Shetland Moorit that is calling my name so I will enjoy the next few hours spinning.    Enjoy your day.
